Videos published to support NRA engagement

Work is taking place across multiple government agencies to support the publication of an updated National Risk Assessment (NRA) for the Isle of Man.

The NRA is a crucial element of our commitment to meeting international standards, as well as protecting the Island from financial crime including money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing.

A ‘ground up’ approach is being used to inform the NRA, with sector and topic-based assessments building an overall picture of risk to inform national policies and focus resources where they are most needed.

As part of a busy programme of outreach, a video has been published online to explain the NRA and its importance to the Island’s business sector. A further recording is available to support Isle of Man financial institutions and specified non-financial businesses that are required to consider the findings of the NRA as part of their own risk-based approach.

The Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Terrorist Financing Policy Office within the Isle of Man Government Cabinet Office is leading on the NRA process as the national co-ordinator for the Island’s AML/CFT Framework.
