Deposits (net of local inter-bank placings) with Isle of Man offices of Isle of Man licensed deposit takers
Deposits increased by £1.72 billion (4.32%) to £41.58 billion between 31 March 2016 and 30 June 2016.
Deposits in the year to 30 June 2016 increased by £1.37 billion (3.41%) on the corresponding figure as at 30 June 2015.

- “Deposits” include intra-group borrowing that is not capital in nature.
- As at 30 June 2016 foreign currency deposits comprised 40.14% (£16.69bn) of total deposits (31 March 2016: 38.56% (£15.37bn)) as expressed in sterling equivalent. These deposits are primarily denominated in US dollars and Euro. The figures at 30 June 2016 compared to those at 31 March 2016 are influenced by exchange rate movements on a total foreign currency basis (GBP weakened against USD by 7.64%, and weakened against EUR by 4.76%).
