Acumen Finance & Loans (I.O.M)

This notice is issued by the Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 30 of the Financial Services Act 2008.

The Authority has recently become aware of a website http://acufinl.info purporting to represent the business Acumen Finance & Loans (I.O.M) who are claiming to have a contact address in the Isle of Man and are offering financial services.

The Authority wishes to draw attention to the following observations:

The telephone number used by this entity on the aforementioned website, namely +44 745 203 5250 is not issued by an Isle of Man telecommunication provider.

Although there is a genuine business in the Isle of Man named Accumen Finance & Loans there are no companies incorporated in the Isle of Man by the name of Acumen Finance & Loans (I.O.M). The genuine Accumen Finance and Loans is a registered money lender in the Isle of Man.

The Authority has established no association between the purported entity Acumen Finance & Loans (I.O.M) and any genuine Isle of Man companies or businesses.

The website http://acufinl.info appears to be a direct clone of the site of another genuine Isle of Man company

The Authority has established no genuine links between Acumen Business & Loans (I.O.M) or the website http://acufinl.info and the Isle of Man.

A search of all genuine companies incorporated in the Isle of Man can be conducted at https://services.gov.im/companies-registry/ 

To offer these financial services in or from the Isle of Man requires a licence issued by the Authority. See register search to search all entities licensed by the Authority.
