This notice is issued by the Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 30 of the Financial Services Act 2008.

The Authority has recently become aware of a website http://fntcogroups.com purporting to represent the business First National Bank and Trust Company who are claiming to have a contact address in the Isle of Man and are offering corporate and private banking.

We have also seen email correspondence purporting to be from a Frank Magel, representing the company First National Trust Bank & Co (Isle of Man) Ltd

The Authority wishes to draw attention to the following observations:

The telephone numbers used by these entities on the stated website and correspondence namely +44 793 715 0397 and +44 800 014 8143 are not issued by Isle of Man telecommunication provider.

There are no companies incorporated in the Isle of Man by the name of First National Bank and Trust Company or First National Trust Bank & Co (Isle of Man) Ltd The Authority has established no association between the above entities and any genuine Isle of Man companies or businesses.

The Authority has established no genuine links between the above entities and the Isle of Man.

A search of all genuine companies incorporated in the Isle of Man can be conducted at https://services.gov.im/companies-registry/

To offer banking services in or from the Isle of Man requires a licence issued by the Authority.

Any persons who have paid funds to the above entities should consider contacting their local Police without delay.
