The Commission has recently become aware of correspondence received by members of the public purporting to have been sent by a Wayne Potman (Director of Human Resources) and Wm Stacy Locke (Chief Executive Officer) claiming to represent the purported company Vettrax Energy Inc., Central Promenade, Douglas, Isle of Man IM2 4NA.

Within the correspondence it is claimed that the purported company Vettrax Energy Inc was able to make the individual an offer of employment. A requirement of taking up the offer of employment was to apply for and complete an application for Expatriate Insurance from the Isle of Man City Council which would be supplied on payment of a £600 fee.

The individual would then be put in contact with a Barrister Timothy Moynahan purportedly representing the Immigration Solicitors and Legal Advisor Service, an independent entity acting as the link between the Isle of Man City Council and Vettrax Energy Inc. who would then process payment of any fees.

There are no companies, agencies or Government Departments called either the Isle of Man City Council or the Immigration Solicitors and Legal Advisor Service in the Isle of Man.

The purported entity Vettrax Energy Inc is not a company incorporated in the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name in the Isle of Man.

The Commission has established no association between the above entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has established no genuine links between the above entity and the Isle of Man.
