Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man) Limited: Court Hearing 9th April 2009

At the Hearing in the High Court in the Isle of Man today, a petition was presented by IoM Treasury and Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man) Limited (in provisional liquidation) seeking permission to convene meetings of creditors for the purpose of considering and voting upon a proposed Scheme of Arrangement under section 152 of the Companies Act 1931.

The Court heard evidence from various parties and directed that the winding up petition be adjourned and that creditors meetings to vote on the Scheme of Arrangement may be held. There will be three classes of creditors.
