This notice is issued by the Financial Supervision Commission (“the Commission”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 22of the Financial Supervision Act 1988.

The Commission has recently been made aware of alleged “Certificates of Deposit” purporting to have been issued by the above entity which falsely claims to have an address of 44, Whitebridge Road, Onchan, Isle of Man, IM3 1AL, United Kingdom. The documents list a telephone number for the above entity of 44 207 060 2308.

Research carried out by the Commission has identified that there is a 44, Whitebridge Road, Onchan, Isle of Man, however, the above entity has no presence there and is completely unknown to the genuine occupants of that address.

The above entity is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man.

The above entity is not licensed by the Commission to undertake any regulated activity in, on or from the Isle of Man.

The Financial Supervision Commission has established no genuine association between the above entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with the above entity to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.

Any persons who have paid funds to the above entity should consider contacting their local Police Fraud Unit for advice without delay.

 

UPDATE – issued 30th July 2008

Subsequent to the issue of the above Public Notice further documentation purporting to have been issued by the above named entity has come to the attention of the Commission. In this further documentation the above named entity now claims to have an address of 34 Howard Layouts, Isle of Man. Research undertaken by the Commission has established that there is no such address anywhere on the Isle of Man.

All other comments previously made by the Commission in the above Public Notice remain valid.
