Finance Online

The Financial Supervision Commission has been made aware of the above website which purports to represent the above entity.

The appearance of the website and the website address clearly imply that the above entity is based in or has some connection with the Isle of Man.

The website appears to have been copied from that of an entity called Isle of Man Financial Group at www.iomfg.co.uk which was the subject of a previous Public Warning issued by the Commission and which may be read at:

http://www.iomfsa.im/ViewNews.gov?page=lib/news/iomfsa/isleofmanfinanci.xml.

It is apparent that the more overt references to the Isle of Man referred to in the aforementioned Public Warning have been edited out of the new website, however, as noted above, the false implication of some kind of connection with the Isle of Man clearly remains.

Finance Online is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man.

The activities claimed, on the website, to be undertaken by Finance Online clearly fall within those defined as licensable by the Commission if undertaken in, on or from the Island or held out as undertaken in, on or from the Island. Finance Online is not nor ever has been licensed by the Commission to undertake such activities. It is a criminal offence on the Isle of Man to undertake or hold out as undertaking licensable activities without holding the requisite license from and being regulated by the Commission. A list of all genuine licence holders of the Commission is available at http://www.iomfsa.im/licence/welcome.xml

The Commission has been unable to establish any genuine connection between the above entity and the Isle of Man.

The Commission has been unable to establish any genuine connection between the above entity and any persons on the Isle of Man.

Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with the above entity to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.
