On the 24th January 2005 the Commission issued a Public Warning regarding the unauthorised use of the identity of the genuine Isle of Man incorporated company Nexus Limited by a person or person unknown. The full text of that earlier Public Warning is repeated below.

Since issuing the earlier Public Warning the Commission has become aware of two further addresses being claimed in relation to the bogus use of the genuine company name.

The Commission is issuing this update in order to bring these new details to the attention of interested persons. The comments made by the Commission in our earlier Public Warning set out below continue to apply. The website referred to in the earlier Public Warning does not appear active at the present time.

The Commission has recently become aware of the above website which includes references to and claims to represent the above entity.

The Commission has seen correspondence in which the above entity claims that it is “an offshore registered company of the Isle of Man (GB), Company Number 10091” The Commission, having made enquiries, is satisfied that this claim is entirely false.

Whereas the Commission has established that there is a genuine company incorporated on the Isle of Man by the name of Nexus Limited, we have also established that this genuine company is not nor ever has been associated in any way or form with the above website, entity or United Kingdom address.

The Commission has established no association between the above website or entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has established no genuine links between the above website or entity and the Isle of Man.

Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with the above entity to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.
