This notice is issued by the Financial Supervision Commission (“the Commission”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 22 of the Financial Supervision Act 1988.
The Commission has recently received information regarding correspondence purporting to originate from a “Barrister Jamey Rhode” claiming to represent the above entity.
The above entity claims, within the correspondence, to have an address at 2nd Floor, Victory House, Prospect Hill, Douglas, Isle of Man IM1 1EQ UK Enquiries carried out by the Commission allow us to categorically state that such claim is completely false. The above entity does not have a presence at nor any other genuine connection whatsoever with this address.
Rhode’s Law Office UK is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man.
Enquiries by the Commission have revealed that neither Barrister Jamey Rhode nor Rhode’s Law Office UK are known to the Isle of Man Law Society.

The Commission has established no association between this entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies.
The Commission has established no genuine links between this entity and the Isle of Man.
The correspondence seen by the Commission gives telephone and fax numbers to contact the above entity. None of the numbers given relate to lines on the Isle of Man.
Persons who have paid away any money in relation to purported correspondence from this entity should consider contacting their local Police Fraud Unit without delay.
